Shandong fashion industry launches international master's pro

The fashion industry in Shandong and POLI.design, founded by Politecnico di Milano jointly launched Fashion and Accessories Design Executive Master in Jinan, the capital city of Shandong, on Wednesday, as part of the Shandong Craftsmanship Promotion Project rolled out in early March. 

The program aims to bring in international experts to promote the province's intangible cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship, as well as high-quality development of Shandong's cultural and creative products.

Shandong province, located in eastern China, is known for its rich cultural resources and traditional craftsmanship. 

At the opening ceremony, Zhou Jin, director of Shandong Fashion Association, said that the program will regularly invite international fashion experts and aesthetics educators from home and abroad to give training sessions in Shandong.

This program will also build a bridge for the hearing impaired to connect with international fashion through public welfare, charity, and fulfilment of social responsibility. The program aims to promote the employment of people with disabilities and enable them to pursue their careers in the fashion industry. 

In addition, the program is committed to exploring the diversified integration of intangible cultural heritage and international fashion, by recruiting students from the inheritors of intangible cultural heritages from southwestern China's Guizhou province and other places across the country.
